Sunset Boulevard

Here are three reasons why I love this classic: Billy Wilder, Gloria Swanson, and black and white photography. Not only does this film HAVE to be in black and white, but it's just impossible to imagine improving on the way it is filmed. Rarely have I watched a movie and gotten the creeps just from the atmosphere of an old house, but this film does it to me every time. Everything about it is absolutely top notch - the acting, the directing, the script ... the whole "Look" of it.
