Life is Beautiful
An unforgettable fable that proves love, family
and imagination conquer all. A Jewish man has
a wonderful romance with the help of his humour,
but must use that same quality to protect his
son in a Nazi death camp This would be unbearable
without Benigni's comic grace and humanity. The
film handles a profoundly serious subject with
a light touch, devoid of the moralistic or syrupy
tone. In the battle against barbarism, Benigni
is saying, there are also the weapons of joy and
imagination. The film moved me so much, that I
would qualify it one of the best films I have
seen on the WW2.
